This is an away meet.

For away A Meets, we meet at the FME Pool, parking along Viking Drive to caravan as a team to the opposing team’s pool. Departure time will vary depending on travel time, traffic, and start time for the meet.

Details will be provided in A Meet email notifications to parents.

What should swimmers wear? Swimmers should wear their team suit, if they have one, or other appropriate racing style suit. Swimmers should have swim caps and proper fitting goggles as well.

Code of Conduct: At all NVSL events, Practices, home and away A Meets, home and away B Meets, and Special events like relay carnival or Division Championships, FME Swimmers and Parents are expected to behave in the best traditions of FME Pool.

Membership on the FME Swim Team is a privilege and participation in an A meet is at the discretion of the FME coaching staff. Swimmers or Parents whose behavior is not in alignment with the FME Swim Team Code of Conduct at a home or away A meet may be sanctioned by the coaches per the infractions guide located in that document.

This is an away meet.

Warm-ups start at 5:30pm for FME swim team members at away B meets! That means in the pool at 5:30, not arriving. Please plan to be to the Away pool at least 15-20 min’s prior to the start of warm-ups.

B Meets begin at promptly at 6:00pm.

FME Swimmers will be directed to a team area when they arrive at the away pool.

Swimmers are encouraged to swim two events plus Individual Medley (IM).

A swimmer is eligible to swim any event in a B Meet except an event for which that swimmer raced in the immediately preceding A Meet.

What should swimmers wear? Swimmers should wear their team suit, if they have one, or other appropriate racing style suit. Swimmers should have swim caps and proper fitting goggles as well.

Minions Walk the Plank Pep Rally

Join us for a Pirate-themed pep rally this Friday night! Swimmers will be in mixed-age teams and will have a scavenger hunt around the pool and sledding hill. All ages are encouraged to play! Warm-ups start at 5:05 pm for FME swim team members at home B meets! That means in the pool at 5:05, not arriving. Please plan to be to the Home pool at least 15-20 min’s prior to the start of warm-ups.

B Meets begin at promptly at 6:00pm.

FME Swimmers will remain in the team area near the slide.

Swimmers are encouraged to swim two events plus Individual Medley (IM).  Swimmers under the age of 10 years old will need to be approved by a coach in order to swim the IM at a B meet.

A swimmer is eligible to swim any event in a B Meet except an event for which that swimmer raced in the immediately preceding A Meet.

We cannot stress enough to please make sure you are on time for warm-ups!!!

Swimmers should check in with the coaches when you arrive.

FME Swimmers will set-up around the baby pool to wait for their races.

Minions at the Carnival Pep Rally

Join us for our first pep rally with the theme, Minions at the Carnival! We will have activities for all swimmers from 6-6:30 and pizza will be available to purchase at 6:30. The Kona Ice Truck will also be here! If you'd like to order pizza, please fill out this form and pay at the rally. Exact change is appreciated, and the cost is $3 per slice or $5 for two. Our color theme for this week is YELLOW, so come to the rally and Saturday's meet wearing yellow if you can!

B Meet: FME @ Herndon Swim Club - Away

This is an away meet.

Warm-ups start at 5:25pm for FME swim team members. Please plan to arrive at 5:10.

B Meets begin at promptly at 6:00pm.

FME Swimmers will be directed to a team area when they arrive at the away pool. Fox Mill Estates swimmers will gather in the grass area on the side behind the fence.

For this meet, both teams have agreed that the order of events will be Free, Back, Breast, Fly, IM.

Here are some things you need to know (pay CLOSE attention because these are different than usual due to the fact that Saturday was a time trial)...

1. If you did NOT swim on Saturday: Your swimmer may sign up to swim 2 individual strokes (free, back, breast, fly) of his/her choice. Swimmers age 11 and older may also swim the IM.

2. If your swimmer swam 1 EVENT on Saturday: Your swimmer may sign up for 2 individual strokes. BUT he/she may NOT swim what was swum on Saturday. Swimmers age 11 and older may also swim the IM.

Ex: Jill swam freestyle Saturday so she may NOT swim freestyle Monday night. She may choose 2 other strokes (back, breast, fly). If she is 11 or older, she may swim the IM.

3. If your swimmer swam 2 EVENTS on Saturday: Your swimmer may sign up for 2 individual strokes. BUT he/she may NOT swim what was swum on Saturday. Swimmers age 11 and older may also swim the IM.

Ex: Michelle swam freestyle and breaststroke on Saturday so she may NOT swim either of those strokes Monday night. She may choose 2 other strokes (back, fly). If she is 11 or older, she may swim the IM.
