(B) Meets are held on Monday evenings and they are designed to give developing swimmers a chance to compete and improve their skills. (B) Meets are not NVSL sanctioned and are not scored meets. 

Swimmers may sign up for the (B) meet online in the Swim Meet section of the Events tab on our Homepage. (B) Meets begin at 6:00 pm, however swimmer warm-ups are generally at 5:00 (home) or 5:25 (away).

EVENTS

Events are similar to the events in (A) Meets, with the following differences: 

- Freestyle and Backstroke events are added for the 6 & Under age group,

- Individual Medley (IM) events are added for 10 & Under, 11-12, 13-14 and 15-18 age groups. 

- There are usually multiple heats of each event, and

- There are no relay events.

B MEET PARTICIPATION POLICY

All swimmers* may swim 2 strokes of their choice and the IM for a maximum of 3 events in a Monday (B) Meet. 

*For swimmers who have swam in an (A) meet:

If the swimmer has placed 1st or 2nd once or 3rd twice during an (A) meet in the season, the event can still be swum in any B meet but times will be unofficial for the remainder of the season. Unofficial swims allow every team member to swim their preferred stroke(s) on Monday (B) meets, but are not awarded ribbons. Times for unofficial swims are recorded and considered for (A) meet eligibility.
