Winter Swim Kick Off and Pizza Party
Kettering Park
Start: 4:00 PM
End: 5:30 PM
Registered swimmers will engage in fun and games an for an hour before enjoying pizza. Please dress children in comfortable clothes and shoes they can run in. Swimmers should bring a towel to sit on and a water bottle. Families may join the feast, but will need to order their pizza. Cost is $5 for 2 slices of cheese pizza. Families are responsible for the cost of ordered pizza. This will be an intra-squad meet with our team only. Swimmers will be assigned to a team. This is a home meet meet. Warm-ups start at 4:45 pm! Please plan to be at the pool at least 15 mins prior to the start of warm-ups. Swimmers are encouraged to swim two events plus Individual Medley (IM). A swimmer is eligible to swim any event in a B Meet except an event for which that swimmer raced in the immediately preceding A Meet. If a swimmer swam two events in the immediately preceding A-Meet, they may only swim one event that they did not swim on Saturday, plus IM if they choose to. What should swimmers wear? Swimmers should wear their team suit, if they have one, or other appropriate racing style suit. Swimmers should have swim caps and proper fitting goggles as well. Code of Conduct: At all NVSL events, Practices, home and away A Meets, home and away B Meets, and Special events like relay carnival or Division Championships, FME Swimmers and Parents are expected to behave in the best traditions of FME Pool. Membership on the FME Swim Team is a privilege and participation in an B meet is for the benefit of the swimmer. Swimmers or Parents whose behavior is not in alignment with the FME Swim Team Code ofConduct at a home or away B meet may be sanctioned by the coaches per the infractions guide located in that document. |

Brookfield 13615 Pennsboro Drive, Chantilly, VA 20151 This is an away meet. For away A Meets, we meet at the FME Pool, parking along Viking Drive to caravan as a team to the opposing team’s pool. Departure time will vary depending on travel time, traffic, and start time for the meet. Details will be provided in A Meet email notifications to parents. What should swimmers wear? Swimmers should wear their team suit, if they have one, or other appropriate racing style suit. Swimmers should have swim caps and proper fitting goggles as well. B Meet: Pinecrest @ FME - Home

Fox Mill Estates Swim & Tennis Club - 2720 Viking Dr., Herndon VA 20171 This is a home B meet. Warm-ups start at 5:00 pm for FME swim team members at home B meets! That means in the pool at 5:00, not arriving. Please plan to be to the Home pool at least 15-20 min’s prior to the start of warm-ups. B Meets begin at promptly at 6:00pm. FME Swimmers will remain in the team area near the slide during home B meets. Rules regarding sign ups: 1. If you did NOT swim on Saturday: Your swimmer may sign up to swim 2 individual strokes (free, back, breast, fly) of his/her choice PLUS the IM. 2. If your swimmer swam 1 EVENT on Saturday: Your swimmer may sign up for 2 individual strokes PLUS the IM, BUT he/she may NOT swim what was swum on Saturday. Ex: Jill swam freestyle Saturday so she may NOT swim freestyle Monday night. She may choose 2 other strokes (back, breast, fly) PLUS the IM to swim Monday night. 3. If your swimmer swam 2 EVENTS on Saturday: Your swimmer may swim 1 individual stroke PLUS the IM, but he/she may NOT swim what was swum on Saturday. Ex: Michelle swam freestyle and breaststroke on Saturday so she may NOT swim either of those strokes Monday night. She may swim Backstroke OR Butterfly PLUS the IM. ** If you have already registered your swimmers for Monday, PLEASE log into your account and make sure their selections follow the guidelines above. If not, we will have to go in and manually make changes. Please remember, all selections MUST be made by 2:00pm on Sunday. There will be NO DECK ENTRIES. This is a rule agreed on by all Team Reps. What this means is, if you fail to register your swimmers by Sunday at 2:00pm, he/she will not be swimming at the meet. What should swimmers wear? Please plan to be to FME at least 15-20 min’s prior to the start of warm-ups. We cannot stress enough to please make sure you are on time for warm-ups!!! Swimmers should check in with the coaches when you arrive. FME Swimmers will set-up around the baby pool to wait for their races.
